Carl B. Hedlund To Stay Through Year’s End
MAUMEE, OHIO (June 7, 2007) ― Therma-Tru President and Chief Executive Officer Carl B. Hedlund announced his intent to retire at the end of 2007, after nearly seven years with the company. During his tenure, Mr. Hedlund reinforced Therma-Tru as the nation’s leading manufacturer and most preferred brand of fiberglass and steel exterior doors. He also led the company through its transition from a family-owned business to its current position within Fortune Brands, Inc., a Fortune 500 company.

An external search has been initiated for a successor. Between now and the end of the year, Mr. Hedlund will remain in his role and is committed to provide a smooth and consistent transition to the new leader.
“My announcement is consistent with my long-term personal goals and aspirations,” said Mr. Hedlund. “I’m looking forward to spending more time with my family while pursuing my interests in community service, philanthropy and travel.”
Mr. Hedlund said he will also advise and consult with a variety of philanthropic organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Toledo, United Way, Alzheimer’s Association, and the University of Toledo.
