THERMA-TRU ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING
MAUMEE, OHIO (June 14, 2007) ― Therma-Tru President and Chief Executive Officer Carl B. Hedlund announced that Scott Phillips, an independent marketing consultant, will assume the role of Vice President, Marketing effective June 15.
Mr. Phillips comes to the company with 25 years of experience across brand, product, manufacturing and financial functions. The principal and founder of SHP consulting, LLC, a management and marketing consultancy in Saint Joseph, Michigan, he was consulting with Therma-Tru before accepting the offer. Mr. Phillips spent sixteen years with Whirlpool Corporation. His last position there was General Manager, Global Brand Architecture. Mr. Phillips has held management positions at Burger King Corporation and Comerica Bank.

A Certified Management Accountant and member of both the American Marketing Association and the Product Development Management Association, Mr. Phillips holds an M.B.A. from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Administration from Michigan State University.
Mr. Philips succeeds Hal Gardner who left the company in early June.
