VIRGINIA’S “BEST BUILDER” CHOOSES THERMA-TRU
AS EXTERIOR DOOR OF CHOICE
MAUMEE, OH (June 21, 2006) – Therma-Tru® Doors was chosen by Caruso Homes, a builder recently named “2006 America’s Best Builder” by the National Association of Home Builders and
Builder Magazine as the exterior door of choice for all of their homes. Caruso has been using Therma-Tru Collections for years, but recently switched to use Therma-Tru exclusively.
“Our customers really like Therma-Tru doors as they provide an opportunity to customize the home however they want it,” said David Herzog, President of Caruso Homes. “Therma-Tru doors offer new and innovative designs, and we have been using them for our luxury jobs as well as showcasing them on our model homes.”
The Maryland- and Virginia-based builder will now use all Therma-Tru entry systems on their custom homes instead of using multiple manufacturers. All Caruso homes will feature Smooth-Star®, Fiber-Classic® or Classic-Craft® Collections for their entryways and Smooth-Star® and SPD Patio Door Systems.
“As the exterior door of choice for Caruso Homes, Therma-Tru is proud to be serving such a respectable builder in developing its home communities,” said Hal Gardner, Vice President of Marketing, Therma-Tru Doors. “Builders want products that are designed with performance and homeowner satisfaction in mind and Therma-Tru doors perform long after the job is done.”
Customers will receive a custom brochure that will highlight the properties of each Collection and discuss entry and patio upgrades and options on a model home. The brochure will also include results from Therma-Tru’s recent Home Valuation study that proves that an enhanced entry system will positively influence the selling price of a home.
The Home Valuation Study, commissioned by Therma-Tru Doors and conducted by independent research organization TNS (formerly NFO WorldGroup), asked more than 2,400 consumers from across the United States to estimate home prices based on the homes’ exterior appearance. The study found that an enhanced entryway can add as much as $24,000 to a home’s perceived value. The added value was as much as five times the cost of the entry system.
For style, performance and affordability, today’s best choice is fiberglass. While wood can rot, split, or peel, fiberglass requires minimal maintenance; provides excellent thermal protection; and offers unlimited possibilities for styles and finish options.
Steel doors can dent, ding and rust on the job site, causing callbacks and customer complaints, while fiberglass doors stand up to the rigors of construction and perform for decades. Builders rely on Therma-Tru fiberglass door systems more than any other for unlimited style and finish options at all price points, realistic wood graining, minimal maintenance, excellent thermal protection, unbeatable warranties and outstanding customer service.
A builder since 1985, Caruso Homes was awarded the highly competitive “Best Builder” title by the National Association of Home Builders and
Builder Magazine based on outstanding performance in the areas of marketing, finance, and operations, customer service, product and community/association activities. Visit www.carusohomes.com for more information.
